Season of Growth

Junior High is an exciting season of growth as students begin to develop their own ideas, values, and independence. At Southern Cape Christian School, we equip students to connect their learning to real-life situations, encouraging more profound understanding and strengthening critical thinking across all subjects.

As students begin to form their own ideas, opinions, and sense of independence, Junior High becomes a pivotal and exciting chapter in their development.

School Supply List

TO AVOID LOSS, PLEASE WRITE YOUR CHILD’S NAME ON SCHOOL UNIFORMS, OUTERWEAR, AND PERSONAL SUPPLIES THAT ARE SENT TO SCHOOL.

Please go to the supply list below according to your child’s grade or subject. These items should be sent with your child on the first day of school.  (*Indicates a shared item that is used by the entire class.)

Parents will also need to send a lunch each day, as well as a fruit break (a non-sugary, healthy snack). Please write your child’s name on all items, including backpacks, clothing & lunch boxes, as they get mixed up easily.

School Supply List

  • 1 KJV or NIV Bible

  • 5 Spiral bound notebooks (one subject)

  • 1 graph paper notebook for Math

  • 1 Package 5×7 index cards

  • 2 Packs #2 pencils

  • 1 pair of scissors

  • 3 ring Binder

  • 1 composition book

  • A set of headphones

  • 2 Dry erase markers (black only)

  • 1 Yellow highlighter

  • 1 packet of wide ruled loose leaf paper

  • Personal Pencil Sharpener

  • Crayons, and/or markers

  • 2 Containers disinfecting wipes

  • 1 Roll of paper towels

  • 1 Folder for each subject (excluding Math) that can be inserted into a 3 ring binder

  • Scotch tape

  • Large Eraser

  • Package of Blue pens (may be erasable)

  • 5 Red pens

  • 1 Pack colored pencils or crayons

  • 1 Individual pencil sharpener

 

6th Grade Math:

  • A ruler showing inches and centimeters

  • Compass & clear protractor

  • Texas Instruments TI30XIIS calculator– (Required through High School)

  • Wide graph paper

  • 3 ring binder
